What is the Energy Tax Credit?

Homeowners can earn an energy tax credit of 30% of the cost of new windows when they install qualifying replacement windows during 2024, up to a total of $600. This is a great way to realize significant savings on new windows that will deliver years and years of savings and value, at the same time making your home more comfortable.

(By the way… If you did install new replacement windows in 2023 you can still apply for the energy tax credit that was in place at the time. Ask your tax professional about it.)

Are All Windows Eligible?

No. Only replacement windows meeting energy efficiency criteria are eligible. ProVia’s Low-E Glass has special coatings that reflect infrared light, keeping your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. When Can You Claim the Tax Credit

You apply for the energy tax credits from your new windows when you file your taxes. Your tax professional or accountant can help. We strongly recommend saving the National Fenestration Ratings Council (NFRC) labels from your new replacement windows as proof they qualify for the tax credits, along with our paperwork – STL Design and Build/STL Windows Direct.
